Introduction
Trading Card TV is a live streaming marketplace built for trading card collectors across mobile, web, and TV. What started as a mobile development engagement quickly expanded into a much broader leadership role. I stepped in not just to help build the product, but to bring structure, direction, and momentum to a project that lacked clear design, process, and technical alignment. The result was a stronger product foundation, a more cohesive user experience, and a successful launch across every major platform.

The Challenge
When I joined the project, the mobile app was in a difficult state. It lacked a coherent design direction, carried significant technical debt, and was still missing core features despite an already expired timeline. There was little real project management in place, limited mobile expertise on the team, and no clear operational rhythm to help the product move forward with confidence. At the same time, the stakeholder needed the app stabilized, polished, and ready for launch as quickly as possible while also adding competitive features that could help it stand out in a fast moving market. The challenge was not only technical. Without structure, communication, and leadership across the team, even good work risked stalling.
How we Helped
I took on a dual role across both product and execution. On one side, I worked directly in the codebase and helped transform the app from a fragmented build into a more cohesive, intentional product with stronger UX and clearer feature direction. I guided development across the mobile app, website, and TV experience, helping shape the logic, flows, and product decisions needed to make the platform launch ready. On the other side, I helped establish the operating structure the team was missing. I introduced sprint standups, weekly working rhythms, technical expectations, and clearer communication between the stakeholder and the development team. I also stepped into a liaison role that supported team coordination and broader decision making. Together, that work helped the app, website, and TV platform successfully launch and positioned the product for a stronger version two with a more stable foundation and a clearer roadmap.
